The Daily Art Of Being Happy

Being happy is not as complex as people think, they are small details and habits that help a human being to remain happy despite the problems of daily life.

I like to imagine that life is like an iron city full of rides. On the carousel you go around but you still have –in some strange way- your feet on the ground; on the Ferris wheel or wheel of fortune you turn and at the same time go up and down, but always in the same place; the roller coaster takes you through a lot of dizzying ups and downs that simulate many times in a person’s life and despite that speed, at any given moment it just stops, you get off and you can continue to the next attraction; and so on, until the entry ticket expires.

The big point about being happy is that people have the possibility of being happy immediately and do not realize, or put another way, they have the tickets to the attractions in their hands, in front of themselves, and it is as if they waited for something more to be able to be happy, regardless of the situations in their life. Perhaps one of the biggest drawbacks is that people are almost never satisfied with what they have and always want more of everything or a variant of what they already have, but feeling that lack makes them feel incomplete or, in other words, that already it does not allow them to feel whole.

Being happy is not as difficult as it seems. Certainly some days are more difficult than others. But while some are more overwhelming and others are calmer, the attitude of a happy person differs from that of a person who has CHOSEN to live his life in the throes of despair, sadness, anguish and stress.

In spite of everything, there is always the possibility of changing the way you act, think and feel, that is the wonderful thing about being a human being. Taking the above into account, here are some habits that you can put into practice in your life and thus make “being happy” a daily art.

A happy person usually:

  • Despite the daily tests, start the day in good spirits.

  • Be grateful for what you have.

  • Fight for what you want to achieve.

  • Don’t give up despite obstacles.

  • Take every opportunity you have to help others.

  • Despite the sadness, restore your spirits and seek solutions to problems.

  • Enjoy nature and walk daily enjoying what surrounds you.

  • Enjoy spending time with your loved ones.

  • Give yourself the luxury of daydreaming about your desires.

  • Give yourself the opportunity to “be a child” often and play with your children.

  • Do not deny the tests that life puts you.

  • Say “I love you” or “I love you” to your loved ones and try to hug them consistently.

As you can see, they are small things, nothing special or that costs a lot of effort or money. It is a matter of you making up your mind, you choose not to give the reins of your life to the bad moments, but to manage every moment of your life yourself, being aware of every second of what you do or stop doing without feeling guilty for feeling so good with yourself. , as with those around you.
