If You Usually Sleep With Your Cell Phone Near Your Bed, After Reading This Article You Won’t Do It Anymore

New study reveals the most dangerous of this practice in terms of your health.

How many people do you know near you who don’t use a cell phone? With the exception of very young children or very old people, the rest of the population use cell phones all the time.

A few years ago it still looked very strange to see a person talking on the cell phone and much more if they did it in a public space, but as it became commonplace, nothing seems strange to us, the cell phone is here to stay and even to become a extension of ourselves.

The use of these devices has been such that in bed and even in the bathroom we do not stop using them. We use the devices for hours! To play games, watch videos, communicate, view photos, movies, listen to music and even exercise, and very rarely do we stop to think about the consequences that the radiation it emits produces on us.

The well-known Newsner page published a study conducted in Finland by the Finnish Occupational Health Institute where researchers found that cell phone electromagnetism affects the brain’s glucose consumption after using it for only 33 minutes.

This study shows that cell phone radiation affects the sugar that the brain uses as fuel, therefore some cognitive functions such as memory, the ability to concentrate or the ability to learn new things are affected.

Now, it is very important to note that this study could not establish any relationship between frequent cell phone use and long-term problems such as brain tumors.

However, all cell phone users must know and put into practice the following recommendations to reduce the risk of radiation:

  • Reduce the time of your calls as much as possible

For health reasons remember that your calls should not last more than 10 minutes.

  • When you don’t use it put it in Ā«airplane modeĀ»

This reduces the radio wave for as long as it remains in that mode.

  • Keep the cell phone as far as possible from your body

The skin, your muscles, blood and brain tissue absorb the radiation produced by the phone, so it is best to keep it in your bag or at least not touch your skin for long periods of time.

  • Look for places with a good signal

When the reception is good your cell phone works with less force

  • Turn off your phone to sleep

Apart from helping you to rest and not be checking messages or emails all night, it will be very good to avoid continuing to receive radiation during the night. If you can’t turn it off, store it in a drawer away from your head.

  • Use the “hands-free” accessories

Again, this way of speaking will keep the cell phone away from your ear.

  • Wear protective glasses

If you’re going to read for a bit, watch videos, or spend more than 15 minutes staring at the screen.

Share these same recommendations with your family members, especially teenagers because they are the ones who spend the most hours using their devices.
