If You Are Interested In The Health Of Your Family, Don’t Stop Reading This

Noises can cause health problems. Although we cannot isolate ourselves in a bubble, it is essential to be aware of the damage that they cause us, and to avoid its excess.

I live with my family in a quiet neighborhood. In front of the house there is a beautiful and lush tree that delights our eyes with all its splendor. Its small inhabitants, the birds, sweeten our days with their song. It’s so nice to wake up in the morning and hear their chirps. That is why annoying noises, although occasional, disturb our peace. Sometimes it occurs to the neighbors in the house across the street to listen to loud music. They listen to music so, but so loud, that the sound makes the windows of the house vibrate.

In addition to being annoying, noise can cause health problems. Although we cannot isolate ourselves in a bubble, it is essential to be aware of the damage that they cause us, and to avoid its excess. Listening to loud noises for a long period of time can increase our risk of suffering from:

  • Headache.

  • Stress.

  • Depression.

  • Anxiety.

  • Gastric ulcer.

  • Arterial hypertension.

  • Cerebrovascular accidents.

  • Insomnia.

  • Lack of concentration.

  • Alteration of moods.

  • Partial or total deafness.

  • In pregnancy, it causes babies to be hypersensitive and, at birth, they cry easily at any loud noise.

That is why in these cases we speak of noise pollution. Acoustic or noise pollution is the excess of sound that alters the natural conditions of the environment of a certain place. It is a problem that affects us all, but, to a large extent, young people. For them it may be fun and exciting to listen to loud music, arguing that it is not otherwise enjoyed.

That is why it is essential to help them become aware from home and at school. From childhood it is necessary to promote an adequate auditory education, teaching them, in addition to the health consequences, that listening to music at a soft and pleasant volume will actually appreciate it more, because we will be able to listen and attend to the small details.

On the other hand, it is necessary to take care of the home, whether we have children or not, and protect it from that contamination. How?:

  • Get used to listening to music or watching television at a low volume.

  • When we use headphones we do not reach the maximum volume. We must be able to hear what is happening around us.

  • Let’s wear hearing protectors if we work with noisy machines.

  • Let’s avoid using the car horn unnecessarily.

  • We are attentive to the noises of household appliances. For example, computer noise, while not annoying in itself, added to other sounds in the house can create an atmosphere of unease. So please turn it off when you are not using it. Not only will you save electricity, but you will enjoy a beautiful silence.

Finally, it would be very sad if we lose our hearing due to the misuse of sound and excessive noise. For all this, let us take care of our home from noise pollution and take the necessary measures to prevent the evil from being greater.
